Finding True North

Help me not to act out of my fear of my death

but to surrender to my living and my dying every day,

trusting the beauty in all things.

Help me give up

harsh, unloving and self-incriminating judgment,

to steward the body and mind I have have today

with loving kindness, compassion and grace.

Truly knowing

innate and fundamental goodness

is the essence of all life.

The road ahead is wide and open.

Wild flowers are dancing with the wind across the meadow.

Tiny birds sing beauty’s song, blessings all beings,

Seen and unseen, heard and unheard.

Today I choose to be alive.

Tomorrow never comes.
